I’m a director and lead the social housing practice at NSCG. My speciality is connecting my client base with flexible talent that helps deliver substantive and sustainable change; shaping their organisations for the future and changing requirements of the customer base.
- What experience and expertise do you bring to your role?
-
As a business psychologist, I’ve been consulting or recruiting to the public sector and not-for-profit sectors for 20 years. From this standpoint, I have observed how talent really does effect business outcomes, both in terms of who they hire and how well they release the potential of those individuals. Similar business challenges exist across all sectors, I focus on bringing the best problem solvers, regardless of sector experience into the housing world.
- What do you love the most about your job?
-
I love meeting people and understanding how their personality, strengths and life experiences contribute to their impact in the workplace.
I feel privileged to spend time with some of the most values-driven individuals who are at the top of their game. Developing a meaningful and ongoing relationship with a chief executive or chairman, putting myself in the best possible position to assess who or what will be the best solution to meet their specific business challenge.
It’s easy to get passionate about the housing sector – it’s diverse, politically charged and current. Not only is it open-minded, boards and executive teams constantly strive to establish the fine balance required between organisational purpose and commerciality. All of which makes it a stimulating and fulfilling sector to operate in.
