Senior Claims Handler – Manchester
A specialist insurer with a strong track record is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to join its growing team in Manchester.
This is a key role within a high-performing claims function, offering the opportunity to manage complex and high-value casualty claims from first notification through to resolution. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in shaping claims strategy, supporting internal teams, and engaging with external partners to ensure exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee escalated claims from TPAs, ensuring appropriate management and resolution
- Conduct detailed policy coverage reviews and provide insight on liability and reserving
- Report on large losses and emerging trends to senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with compliance and complaints teams to resolve issues in line with regulatory standards
- Contribute to internal reporting, performance reviews, and process improvements
- Maintain strong relationships with legal representatives, adjusters, and reinsurers
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical claims handling, ideally with a focus on General Liability
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across stakeholder groups
- Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality service
- A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
