The Opportunity:
NSCG is supporting a leading insurance firm to appoint an experienced Interim Manager to work within their specialist IFRS 17 advisory team, focusing on investment accounting and reporting projects for insurance clients.
This role will play a key part in the delivery of live client engagements as well as supporting proposal development for new business opportunities within the insurance market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of investment accounting and reporting workstreams within IFRS 17 programmes for insurance clients
- Support IFRS 17 financial impact assessments, operational gap analyses, and the development of implementation roadmaps
- Provide subject matter expertise on IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 in relation to investment accounting
- Prepare and review financial statements, disclosures, and management reporting packs
- Work closely with finance transformation and IFRS 17 systems implementation teams, including interaction with leading vendor platforms
- Contribute to proposal development and pre-sales activity to support the continued growth of the IFRS 17 advisory offering
Candidate Profile:
- Strong technical background in investment accounting and reporting within the insurance sector
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects under IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 frameworks
- Prior experience operating at Manager level within a consulting firm, insurance business, or professional services environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to deliver in a fast-paced, project-led setting
- Knowledge of IFRS 17 vendor solutions would be advantageous
