Interim Underwriter – Commercial Liability (SME Focus)
Location: Remote (UK-based preferred)
Duration: 3 months initially, with scope to extend
Start Date: Immediate

We are supporting a well-known UK-based insurer with the appointment of an Interim Underwriter to join a growing commercial team during a period of expansion and change.
This role will focus specifically on commercial liability underwriting within the SME market – covering businesses such as tradespeople, salons, independent retailers, cafés, and restaurants.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in assessing, pricing, and underwriting SME liability risk. This opportunity would not suit those whose experience is centred around large corporate or multinational clients.
Key Requirements:
- Strong background in commercial liability underwriting
- Specific expertise in SME risk, ideally across a range of sectors
- Able to work independently and remotely
- Available at short notice
