The challenge went beyond filling senior vacancies. The organisation needed to rebuild regulatory confidence while maintaining organisational stability and delivering significant change at pace. It required leaders who could operate effectively under intense scrutiny, engage credibly with the regulator, understand what needed to change across their functions and bring colleagues with them through a difficult period. At the same time, additional interim capacity was needed across key functional areas to turn the improvement agenda into delivery.
We supported the appointment of three critical C-suite leaders across customer, finance and technology, alongside providing interim leadership and specialist resource to build immediate capacity for change.
Our search focused not simply on experience, but on identifying leaders with the resilience, judgement and leadership range required for the organisation’s particular circumstances.
The leaders appointed have established themselves successfully, helping to stabilise the organisation and lay the foundations for regulatory improvement and transformation. As the organisation has moved into its next phase, our partnership has evolved with it. We are now supporting appointments across strategy and transformation, combining our understanding of the organisation and its leadership journey with our psychometric research into the capabilities required of today’s most effective housing leaders. This allows us to identify leaders who can deliver what the organisation needs today, while helping shape where it needs to go next.
