About the speakers

 

David balls Paul Adams
David is currently the Principal of Helix People Solutions (Helix), having previously operated as a Chief People Officer (CPO) for circa 15 years across a number of public and private sector companies. David is driven by delivering measurable business improvements through the use of technology (AI), transformation and organisational design/change.

David’s most recent assignments include leading a sales transformation for QA, the largest technology training company in the UK, and leading an HRIS / Payroll transition for Medivet, a national chain of leading veterinary professionals, both companies being part of the CVC portfolio.

Prior to Helix, David was the CPO for Newcross Healthcare, a privately held business, and the Group Human Resources Officer for Rank, the publically listed international gaming organisation with both a multi-site and online presence. In the latter role, David was accountable for the implementation of a three year transformation programme, successfully achieving circa £119m in revenue benefit and contributing to the doubling of the share price (from circa 150p to 300p).

David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Member of the British Psychological Society.

A CEO with diverse private equity and major multinational experience, successfully leading a number of businesses through change of ownership transactions. Proven track record buying, building and repositioning companies to create greater value for customers and investors; developing new capabilities within businesses and their people to accelerate growth at pace.

Paul Adams became the Chief Executive Officer of Lloyds Clinical in December 2023. With a strategic focus on enhancing patient care, Paul leads the company in providing specialised clinical treatments directly to patients' homes and within their communities, aiming to improve outcomes through innovative and accessible healthcare solutions.

With over two decades of leadership experience across various sectors, including significant roles at DD Group, Diageo, and Smith+Nephew, Paul is adept at driving transformative change and growth. His previous leadership in private equity-backed companies highlights his success in boosting operational performance and company valuations.

Paul is also a co-author of "The Little Black Book of Change," and “SHIFT: Leading from the Future” which reflects his expertise in organisational dynamics and transformation.  As Lloyds Clinical CEO, he is committed to ensuring that every patient receives vital healthcare in their community, thus easing the load on the NHS and enhancing overall healthcare outcomes.
