interim head of asset investment and appraisal

My client, a medium sized housing association in the South East, but north of London, is looking to engage an interim with deep strategic asset management experience, from the social housing sector.

This is for 6 months, whilst the directors deliver a restructure of the asset management function. The individual will have operated successfully at ‘head of service level’, previously and will be leading the asset investment and appraisal teams. Some of the main tasks include:

• Responsible for all aspects of the control and day to day management of the appraisal and investment service and its annual budget.
• Lead and oversee the development of and delivery of asset management, rationalisation, decarbonisation and investment strategies.
• Lead and client the stock condition survey, making strategic recommendations on acquisition and divestment of portfolios to meet service delivery and efficiency targets.
• Lead on the project management of portfolio disposals and acquisitions; ensuring rigorous financial assessment, appropriate due diligence and legal assurance and risk identification and mitigation to maintain the portfolio performance.

This role requires an interim who is a strong leader of people, that is able to optimise performance of staff and contractors alike. The role will be likely Outside IR35
