Head of IT Operations
We are representing a leading organisation in the insurance sector seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of IT Operations. This senior leadership role will be integral in overseeing and optimising the company’s IT infrastructure and services, ensuring operational excellence, security, and alignment with business objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of IT operations, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a high-performing IT team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the IT operations team, ensuring the efficient delivery of services across the organisation.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT operations strategy aligned with corporate goals.
- Oversee the daily management of IT systems, infrastructure, and service delivery, ensuring high performance and minimal disruption.
- Manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and robust data security policies.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT operations function.
Candidate Profile:
- A proven track record in senior IT operations leadership roles, ideally within the insurance or financial services sectors.
- Expertise in IT service management (ITIL), infrastructure management, and cloud technologies.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing teams, budgets, and vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at senior levels.
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; relevant certifications are highly desirable.
