We’re here to recognise their contributions.
This year we’re once again shining the spotlight on the interim managers whose achievements deserve celebrating in our NSCG Interim Awards.
The awards comprises of six categories listed to the right, which will be chosen from nominations across these categories.

This award recognises the best of those who have started an interim career within the past 24 months. Those who have wasted no time in transferring their skills and experience from their successful permanent roles into interim assignments and have made a big impact with clients from day one.
Meet our judging panel

DAvid Knight
Interim CEO - Consumer Goods Manufacturer
Dave has successfully been an interim for over 25 years, specialising in business turnarounds – usually working as CEO/MD. He has worked across many sectors including luxury goods, consumer durables, FMCG, business services, consumer services and the public sector, and has a particular heart for manufacturing businesses. Companies have included Bristol Waste Company, Axminster Carpets, The Royal Mint and Remploy, and he is currently Interim CEO at Sofa Brands International. He won the ‘Best Business Transformation Award’ in 2024.

Elaine Elkington
Independent Consultant
Elaine has an extensive background in public sector housing and regeneration and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing; for six years she held a position of Trustee on their Governing Body. Her career in local government extends across decades in District councils, London Boroughs and at Birmingham City council.
For the last 12 years , Elaine has worked as an independent consultant in housing, development, regeneration and planning in both public, private and housing association sectors. She has worked at Executive level in some national challenging roles such as interim CEO at Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation after the Grenfell Tragedy.

Katharine wooller
Chief Strategist Banking & Financial Services - Softcat
Katharine has worked in financial services since 2000, and has held senior roles in financial technology across investment banking, hedge funds, asset management, retail financial services and digital assets. She is a published author, repeat keynote speaker, and has delivered a TedX speech. Katharine regularly comments for trade/national press, and appears on TV, on the topics of technology and innovation. Her current “day job” is Chief Strategist at FTSE listed Softcat PLC, where she supports technology and transformation in over 2500 financial services firms, with a special interest in AI, in addition to a number of NED board roles.

Lawrence trist
Interim FMCG turnaround specialist
Lawrence is an established interim commercial turnaround specialist who has a proven track record predominantly in FMCG manufacturing, along with experience in Media, Software Development and recently leading the channels aspect of a successful bid to run the UK’s National Lottery. He has found his leadership skills, positivity and resilience combined with the clear mandate of an interim has led to cultural improvements, increased internal and external engagement and a measurable impact on both the top and bottom line of companies he has worked for.

Tracy sheedy
Non Executive Director
A Non-Executive Director and Remuneration Committee Chair with significant CHRO experience at Executive Committee and board level. Tracy’s current portfolio includes serving as a NED and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Tracsis plc, a NED of the Governance and Remuneration Committee at Orbit Group, and a NED and Chair of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee at DE&S. Her areas of interest and expertise include executive remuneration and workforce reward, culture and engagement, M&A and divestments, talent management, international HR, sustainability, and diversity and inclusion.
